Tom Venezia is the Business & Sales leader in the Americas for LeapXpert Inc. with a focus on company growth and client engagement through direct sales, partnerships & alliances and account management. Tom previously served as Head of Americas Sales and Account Management at Symphony, Inc where he led a team focused on account management and growth of existing clients and acquisition of new firms to the Symphony community across North and South America. Tom spent many years as the Senior Vice President in charge of Trading Capabilities globally at Thomson Reuters / Refinitiv. In this role, he was responsible for the oversight and growth of the electronic trading network and capabilities within the exchange traded markets.  Tom was also the Managing Director of the Thomson Reuters US Broker Dealer, RTSL and member of the RTSL Board. With nearly 30 years experience in the financial services industry having worked at firms like Bridge Trading, Reuters, Chase Bank and QV Trading Systems Inc. He held a number of positions within the Fixed Income and Equities trading divisions designing and implementing transactional platforms and electronic trading tools for some of the largest Banks and Brokerage firms on the street.

Sonia Chowdhury

Sonia Chowdhury has a compliance-rich background and is currently a Regulatory Solution Sales Subject Matter Expert at SteelEye. She brings a unique skill set and perspective to the industry, as she originally comes from a compliance background and has several years of experience in surveillance at leading financial services firms globally. Sonia has also spent time building communication surveillance tools and working closely with clients to create, design, and implement new features. Sonia's extensive experience in these two worlds offers a unique expertise that few in the RegTech industry possess. As someone who has been on both the vendor and client side, she can appreciate the challenges, priorities, and thinking of compliance officers, while also having a deep understanding of the technologies that address their issues. Sonia loves contributing to the compliance community whenever possible by speaking at roundtables and regulatory advisory sessions. Additionally, she prides herself on being a mentor for young female professionals. Sonia believes in using her platform to empower women to join the tech sector and provide them with guidance and support around their career progression.
